The reason why it's difficult to heal and feed the brain is because of the blood brain barrier.

The blood-brain barrier is a protective sheath that separates the brain from the rest of the body's blood and PROTECTS the brain. It works so well, that essential nutrients like healthy fats can't get across to nourish and fuel your brain (and your brain NEEDS healthy fat). But there is ONE TYPE of healthy fat that can pass the blood brain barrier....keep reading....

The one type of healthy fat that is able to cross the blood-brain barrier to fuel and heal the brain are medium chain triglycerides (MCTs) and these are the perfect brain food. 

MCTs provide an alternative fuel source to glucose. The brain uses GLUCOSE 24 hours a day, that's why it's SO hard to reverse brain cancer and most brain diseases.The problem with glucose is, while it can feed your brain, it also creates MASSIVE inflammation, the root cause of cognitive degeneration, brain diseases, brain cancer, ADD/ADHD, etc...

Eating more MCTs increases the levels of ketones in the brain...here is the most important part.....these ketones have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, boosting blood flow in the brain, neutralizing free radicals, slowing down inflammation and REVERSING Cancer. 

Cancer? Yes, cancer cells have damaged mitochondria, so they CANNOT use ketones as fuel to thrive so they DIE. This is the importance of the Ketogenic diet.

Alzheimer's disease is actually a decline in the brain's ability to effectively use glucose for fuel. A study published in the journal Neurobiology of Aging suggests that MCTs as an alternative to glucose can significantly boost brain function. 
How do you increase MCTs?


Coconut oil is one of the top sources of MCTs, with a concentration of approximately 66%. Taking just 2 tablespoons of coconut oil a day not only increases FOCUS, raises your energy levels, improves your mood, protects against neurological degeneration but also decreases inflammation in your brain.


This is why my smoothie has 2 tablespoons of coconut oil and I also add 1 tablespoon of MCT oil.
